The Collective:
Meet Alan Oliver
(bass & vocal)
The Collective Live Band (OFFICIAL) is built on players you can trust in any room, and Alan is the definition of that standard. With over 30 years of stage experience and a lifelong love of music, he’s best known for strong, steady bass playing that anchors the entire band. His reputation is simple and hard-earned: tight timing, a big sound, and a confident stage presence that keeps the groove solid and the show moving.
Alan also helped found Silent Knight, a well-known metal covers band, where he played a key role in shaping both the sound and the live impact, proof of his range and musical authority. He’s even appeared on television, reflecting his profile as a proven, reliable live performer. And as a proud member of the legendary Kickin’ Up Stones, Alan brings the same skill and drive to every stage he steps onto.
But Alan isn’t just “the bass player.” He’s an all-round musician who also plays guitar and sings, bringing a calm, professional approach to every rehearsal and gig. He has fronted several bands as the lead singer, a rare combination for a bassist with this level of control and presence. Whether he’s holding down the low end or leading from the front, Alan delivers musicianship, energy, and a live show that hits with weight and confidence.
